We'll need official savings account statements that display available funds. Each document should be in a non-editable format should include the following:
- Your name and surname
- The name of the financial institution
- The bank account balance or current amount available for immediate withdrawal
- The document must not be older than 90 days from the date of upload
Are you using personal savings to fund your studies?
To confirm your personal savings, we accept the following documents:
- Bank statement
- Bank letter
- Fixed deposits
- Investments into stocks on publicly listed exchanges, and mutual funds
Have you paid your school deposit?
If you’ve already made a payment or deposit to your school, then we can add this amount to your savings. We’ll need confirmation from the school that this amount was paid, or a screenshot of an email from your school confirming the amount that has been paid.

If you have an internship/assistantship at your school, this can also form part of your savings.
Are any friends or family members contributing to your savings?
For contributions from your family or friends, the following documents are accepted along with a financial support declaration form.
- Bank statement
- Bank letter
- Fixed deposit slips
What needs to be included in the Financial Support Form?
Your family member or friend must ensure that the below is clearly visible on the uploaded document:
- Their full name, as well as yours
- Name of the school you will be attending
- Value & currency of the contribution and if the contribution is a gift or a loan (If the contribution is a loan, we will update the application as needed)
- Contact information as well as a signature
What we do not consider as savings:
- Provident/Pension Funds
- Car papers
- Real estate or property documentation
- Gold ornaments
- Personal credit card statements
- Bank Statements from a business without an individuals name present
