You’ve done all your study preparation, and may have your admission letter too. But the uncertainty caused by COVID-19 may mean you’re making a decision about studying abroad now, or moving your studies to a later date. We encourage you to explore all options carefully, and seek guidance from your school. Whatever you decide, we’re here to support you.
Here’s what you need to know if you’re thinking about deferring:
- You’re still considering your options: Simply continue with your application. Remember, there’s no commitment until you sign the final agreement. This will happen 3-4 weeks before your classes start. Read more about the process of signing your loan here.
- You want to defer your studies to a start date before the end of February 2021: Let us know by emailing email@example.com. If the class you’ve chosen is already available on our system, we’ll assess if your application can be transferred, or if some extra steps might be required. If applications for your class aren’t available yet, then we’ll confirm the details with your school and let you know when you can apply.
- You want to defer your studies to a start date after the end of February 2021: Let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll withdraw your application for this year, and let you know when applications are open for the next academic year. We’ll ask you to start a new application, and update us on any changes to your situation.
