Whether you paid through the Prodigy Finance Repayment App or via an external provider, your payment will go through several stages before being fully applied to your loan.
Payments made in the Repayment App
When you make a payment in the app, it goes through four key stages:
- Initiated: Your payment has been successfully submitted and is pending with your bank.
- Guaranteed: Your bank has debited the funds and our payment processor has confirmed receipt.
- Received: The funds have reached Prodigy Finance and are being allocated to your loan.
- Payment Confirmation: You’ll receive an automated email confirming that your payment has been successfully allocated.
How long does it take?
- It can take up to 3 business days for your bank to process the debit.
- Once debited, it may take 5–10 business days for the funds to reach Prodigy Finance.
Allocation may take an additional 24–48 hours.
Timelines may vary depending on your bank and public holidays.
Why hasn’t my balance updated yet?
- Your payment due amount will not decrease while the payment is pending.
- Once funds are received, the payment may temporarily disappear from the app for 24–48 hours during allocation.
- Your outstanding balance updates at the start of each new payment cycle to reflect payments made in the previous cycle.
This is normal.
How to track your payment in the app
- Open the Repayment App.
- Go to your Loans homepage to see the payment status.
- Tap the Transaction History icon (dollar symbol) to view payment activity.
- If you have multiple loans, use the dropdown menu to switch between individual or combined views.
What if my app payment fails?
If a payment fails:
- You’ll receive a notification explaining the reason.
- The status will update to Failed in the app.
You can retry the payment once the issue has been resolved.
Payments made outside the Repayment App
If you paid using Flywire, Convera, Instarem, or a direct bank transfer, the payment will not appear in the app until it has been received and allocated by Prodigy Finance.
Processing times vary by provider:
- Flywire: 3–5 business days
- Instarem: 3–5 business days (depending on sending country)
- Direct bank transfer: 5–8 business days
- Convera: 3–12 business days (due to international transfer processing)
These timeframes reflect the time it takes for international payments to reach Prodigy Finance.
There’s no need to worry if your payment hasn’t appeared yet. Once the funds arrive and are allocated to your loan, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
Important: Include your loan reference number
When making a payment outside the app, always include your loan reference number (as shown on your monthly statement). This helps us allocate your payment more quickly and avoid delays.
What if my payment hasn’t arrived?
If:
- You haven’t received confirmation within the expected timeframe, and
- It has been more than 5 business days since you initiated the payment
Please contact your payment provider first to confirm the transaction was successful.
