What is the Prodigy Finance referral programme?
The Prodigy Finance referral programme allows eligible students to refer friends who are planning to study abroad.
For every successful referral:
- You receive USD 100 credit applied to your Prodigy Finance loan balance.
- Your friend receives USD 50 credit on their loan balance.
- You can refer up to 20 friends, meaning you could earn up to USD2,000 in loan credits.
Referral rewards are issued as credits that reduce your outstanding loan balance and cannot be used for scheduled repayments.
Who can participate in the referral programme?
- The referral programme is available to Indian customers who have applied for a loan with Prodigy Finance and paid the processing fee or already have a Prodigy Finance loan.
- You must have been an Indian resident at the time of your loan application.
Who can be referred?
You can refer a friend who:
- Is based in India
- Has not previously started a Prodigy Finance loan application
- Plans to study abroad at a supported school and programme.
- They must enter your referral code when starting their first Prodigy Finance loan application.
Where can I find my referral code?
Your referral code will become available once you’ve paid your processing fee during your loan application journey.
We’ll send it directly to you:
- via email, and
- on your Prodigy Finance dashboard
How do I refer a friend?
Here’s how it works:
- Share your referral code with a friend who is planning to study abroad.
- Your friend enters the code when starting their first Prodigy Finance loan application.
- If their loan is approved and successfully disbursed, both of you will receive the referral rewards.
When will I receive my referral reward?
You will receive your USD100 loan credit once your friend’s loan has been successfully disbursed.
The credit will be applied directly to your Prodigy Finance loan balance and reflected in your account.
To receive the reward, you must either have a finalised loan in good standing (on schedule, within the grace period, or ahead of repayments) or have an active loan application with the processing fee paid. Loans that are behind on payments are not eligible for referral credits.
Does my friend receive a reward?
Yes. Your friend will receive USD50 credit on their Prodigy Finance loan balance once their loan has been successfully disbursed.
How many people can I refer?
You can refer up to 20 friends. If all referrals are successful, you could earn up to USD2,000 in loan credits.
What makes a referral successful?
A referral is successful when your friend:
- Uses your referral code when starting their first loan application
- Is approved for a loan
- Pays their processing fee
- Receives their loan disbursement.
- You must have been an Indian resident at the time of your loan application, and your friend must be based in India.
Can a referral code be added after an application has been submitted?
No. Referral codes must be entered when starting your first Prodigy Finance loan application. Referral codes must be entered when starting an application and can’t be applied once it has been submitted. If you miss adding your referral code, you’ll need to begin a new application and include the code at the start to be eligible for the referral reward.
My referral code is not working. What should I check?
If your referral code isn’t being accepted, here are a few things to check:
- Your friend has not previously started or submitted an application with Prodigy Finance.
- The code is entered when starting their first loan application.
- You were an Indian resident at the time of your loan application, and your friend is based in India.
When does the referral programme end?
To qualify for the referral programme:
- Your friend must submit their loan application using your referral code and pay the processing fee by 30 September 2026
- Their loan must be successfully disbursed on or before 1 March 2027.

Important information
This referral programme is currently available to residents of India. Any referral rewards you earn will be applied as credits to your Prodigy Finance loan balance. Please note that these credits can’t be used toward your scheduled repayments.
To be eligible for referral rewards, you’ll need to have either:
- a finalised loan in good standing (on schedule, within the grace period, or ahead on payments), or
- an active loan application with the processing fee already paid.
If your loan is behind on payments, you won’t be eligible to receive referral credits at this time.
