A scholarship is a financial aid in the form of an award, grant, fellowship, or assistantship for a person to further their education. In your application budget, if you have completed the scholarship section, we will then ask you to confirm the scholarship by providing supporting documentation. If you have an internship/assistantship, this will form part of savings rather than scholarship.
How do I confirm my scholarship?
We'll accept proof of your scholarship in the form of a letter or email from the institution with all the necessary information. Your document should be in a non-editable format such as PDF, JPEG, PNG or JPG. Please note that we don't accept I-20 forms as Proof of Scholarship.
If you have an internship/assistantship, this will form part of savings rather than scholarship.
What should be included in my scholarship letter?
- Your name and surname
- Name of the institution providing the scholarship
- Your university's name
- The name of the course the scholarship is being applied to
- The scholarship amount must be stated
- The academic year the scholarship is being granted for and breakdown of the scholarship per year
What if my school emailed the scholarship award to me
If your school emailed a scholarship award to you, the email should include:
- Your email address - this must be clearly visible and match the email address used in your application
- The email address of your university
- The scholarship amount must be stated
- The name of the course the scholarship is being applied to
- The academic year the scholarship is being granted for and breakdown of the scholarship per year
