We know that some course dates may get extended and as a result, you may be finishing your studies later than originally planned.
When you’re studying full-time, you generally won’t need to make repayments right away. However, if in-school payments apply to your loan, you’ll pay USD 100 per month during your studies and the 6-month grace period after your course ends, even if your course is extended.
If you plan to defer a portion of your course to a future study period or take additional classes at the end of the original study period, you should contact our team for assistance. You’ll need to provide documentation from your school confirming the new end date for your course (not graduation date).
Please note that we do not accept an I-20 document for this purpose. Acceptable documents include a letter from your school or an unofficial transcript.
The document must include:
Your first and last names,
The name of your school and course,
Your course/class end date (this must reflect when your studies finish, not your graduation date), or
Your unofficial transcript
We’ll review your request and get back to you within 7 working days. If approved, we’ll provide a new payment start date that aligns with your updated course schedule.
Please note that your overall loan term will not change, so your monthly payment amount may increase slightly once repayment begins.
